Complementary insight across a number of sectors
There is some truth in Andrew Carnegie’s quote “no person will make a great leader who wants to do it all themselves, or to get all the credit doing it”. Scott has benefitted from the wisdom and generosity of some brilliant minds and seeks to pass on the hard-earned learning of many leaders, not just his own.
He successfully led and grew a national charity during the most challenging times in recent history. Not only were the teams high performing, but they were also incredibly motivated and bought into the culture that was very deliberately crafted. Indeed, during a season of testing and stretch they won the Sunday Times ‘Best Not-For-Profit to Work For’ award, which is no mean feat!
In the education sector, Scott has also led in schools across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in a variety of roles. Before setting up as a consultant, he most recently oversaw one of the largest networks of independent alternative provision schools in the country. He led a de-centralised team of 7 executive leaders and brought about improvement in all 13 schools – for staff and students alike. All schools were graded ‘good’ in their inspections.
Scott has an in-depth understanding of the education inspection framework (EIF), independent school standards (ISS) and up-to-date with the latest in organisation and leadership development theories.
